It&#039;s not exactly independence day, more the celebration of the first congressional meeting or something, but it&#039;s darn festive, and somewhat soaked in alchohol, as I wrote here: http://matadornights.com/chile-gears-up-for-its-alcohol-infused-national-holiday.

The festivities are practically underway already, and from here on out it&#039;s all cuecas and chicha. I wonder what everyone else was up to yesterday and on their respective days!</description>
