Latin America E-Book Project Contributors

I’m a big believer in the saying: “‘Yes’ comes right away. ‘No’ never comes.” Perhaps it has proven itself once again after I sent my first burst of e-mail queries to e-book contributors.

Fortunately, plenty of talented Latin America loving scribes have signed onto the project. (You won’t believe who you’ll be working with–more on that later).

For those who haven’t responded to my query (or have turned me down): this here train is leaving the station and you will rue the day you let this free e-book opportunity of the century pass you by.

Here’s a quick recap:

The working title of the e-book I’m aiming to publish this year is Celebrating Latin America at Ground Level.

The idea is to is to have expats or regular travelers to Latin America write about the region’s pleasures and endless contradictions. Each writer will contribute a short personal essay (300 words) about a special aspect of Latin America and what it means to them.

But the traveler gets special dispensation to say yes, right? Oh well, if I’ve missed it, I’ve missed it, but I would have liked to have participated, just that it’s hard to add another layer of thing to stuff or stuff to thing when I’m changing hemispheres. One day I’ll get the hang of it!

Wishing you the best, you’ve got an awesome team out there!

I would say it’s an embarrassment of riches. I’m going to bug a few more hold outs, but I’m very satisfied with the people who have signed on so far.
