Queues are pretty much guaranteed when you visit Disney World, but some seasoned travelers know all about how to reduce the time they spend waiting to play rides to a minimum. You can expect to see long lines at all of the major attractions, but the following tips will help you to skip past the crowds and spend more time actually enjoying yourself, rather than waiting.
1. Get to the parks before opening
If you arrive before the park opens and proceed directly to the attraction you want to visit, you won’t have to wait. Simple as that.
As dumb as it sounds, this is the most important tip you can remember when looking to avoid queues – be there early, or be square! As an added bonus, you usually have a window of 60-minutes to 90-minutes when you can have the run of a park with very short wait times before the bulk of the crowds show up. The secret is to book your FastPass+ reservations at the earliest possible opportunity in order to plan your bookings with the rest of the activities you have lined up that day. However, it’s likely that by using the FastPass+ system and organizing everything in good time before, you should be able to visit five or six attractions in a single day, and have time for lunch, all with little or no waiting. 3. Ignore the fireworks and parades
Disney World loves its fireworks shows and parades, and these spectacles certainly attract lots of onlookers. During the first parade of these events, the queues at most attractions are virtually non-existent, so be sure to head to the rides then to enjoy the shortest possible waiting times.
